CHOO-CHOO-CHOOSE GOULBURN FOR STREAMLINERS ON THE OCTOBER LONG WEEKEND
Goulburn is on track to host a celebration of 65 years of Streamlined locomotives in Australia next weekend, 1-3 October – the October long weekend.
The Streamliners 2016 event will be held at the Goulburn Rail Heritage Centre and will see more than two dozen locomotives descend upon this regional centre. The event will bring both rail enthusiasts, families and those longing for a dose of nostalgia to celebrate one of the earliest revolutionary forms of transport.Locomotives in an array of colour schemes and manufactured by numerous operators will be displaying their trains in Goulburn. An exciting itinerary is planed from sunrise to sunset, including a formal presentation of the streamliners, fireworks and the Streamliners 2016 Dance.
