Cape to Cape (Margaret River) Luxury Walks

Today marks the launch of the Cape to Cape (Margaret River) Walk by Walk into Luxury. The new small group walk offers guests a chance to enjoy world-class food and wine, luxurious accommodation at two oceanfront Small Luxury Hotels of the World, and spectacular walking on the best sections of the Cape to Cape track. Exclusive experiences such as feature dinners, a winery lunch, and clifftop sunset drinks and didgeridoo performance are also included on this luxury walk unlike any other.

Walk into Luxury
Walking is limited to between 3 and 5 hours each day, with plenty of time free for guests to relax and enjoy their luxurious accommodation, the beaches and pristine surroundings. Guests can look forward to relaxing in their oceanfront villa, taking a dip in their private plunge pool and enjoying Margaret River wine and cheese as the sunsets over the west coast in the evening. A post-walk massage at award-winning Injidup Spa post-walk will also help the relaxation process. When it is time to dine, guests will not be left wanting. The Cape Lodge tasting menu with matched wines is a stand-out, as is the lunch at 2014 Regional Restaurant of the Year, Wills Domain. Wine tastings, gourmet walking snack hampers/lunches and in-villa wine and boutique beers are also included. And guests can relax knowing that absolutely everything is included in the price.

The Cape to Cape (Margaret River) Walk is, as the name suggests, located on the Cape to Cape track in Western Australia. The track is one of Australia's best walks and is considered by many to be Australia's premier coastal walk. The track traverses some 135km from Cape Naturalist to Cape Leeuwin along Australia's South Western edge. Walk into Luxury has hand-selected the most scenic sections of the walk and sections that showcase the diverse mix of terrain, flora and fauna found in the area. And there are plenty to see, with the track forming part of a world biodiversity hotspot with many plant species found nowhere else in the world. The terrain is an enticing mix of turquoise beaches, granite and limestone clifftops, coastal bush and magnificent karri forest. The whale migration along the Cape to Cape coastline from June to November is visible from the track, and an array of wildlife including emus, kangaroos and an array of native birds, are spotted on and around the track year round.

It is the extraordinary experience offered both on and off the track that makes the Cape to Cape (Margaret River) Walk something truly special.

The walk is also unique in that it is structured to ensure there is plenty of time for guests to relax away from the group. This is a constant amongst all walks offered by Walk into Luxury, with the new small group walk complementing Walk into Luxury's existing private walk options (which currently include a 4 day and an 8 day walk that can be completed self-guided or with a private guide). Walk into Luxury considers this balance between group and private time to be crucial, and is one of the ways the Cape to Cape (Margaret River) Walk offers a new way to walk. Discover the Walk into Luxury difference for yourself.

"Our culinary and wine voyages add an extra dimension that enriches our guests' experience, and can deepen their understanding of a region's culture," said Karen Christensen, Silversea's General Manager & Director Sales / Marketing, Australasia.

CULINARY VOYAGES

Silversea enjoys the privilege of featuring the only "L'École des Chefs by Relais & Châteaux" cooking school at sea. The innovative programme - which is offered completely free of charge - provides a special culinary curriculum, including hands-on instruction, and entertaining events. Also offered on certain voyages, when the itinerary permits, is a "Market to Plate" experience that provides an escorted tour of a local market to shop for fresh ingredients, followed by a cooking class on board or at an actual Relais & Châteaux property.

WINE CRUISES

On each wine cruise, discerning travellers with a passion for fine wines will enjoy sampling great vintages and learning about the tradition and art of winemaking in special complimentary tastings and lectures conducted by Silversea wine ambassador Lawrence d'Almeida, a wine production expert and former winemaker. Vacations & Travel and The Rees Hotel & Luxury Apartments Queenstown, is giving subscribers the chance to win a sensational trip to Queenstown including two return economy flights and five nights’ accommodation.

The Rees Hotel Queenstown: Luxury For All the Senses
Many hotels promise a stellar location and spectacular surroundings and others the pampering of spacious suites with designer furnishings and fabrics. Still others hang their reputation on service – or perhaps an awarded dining room, top chef or fine wine cellar. Some boutique properties pride themselves on featuring a unique aspect such as their historic or artistic focus but very few fine hotels can boast all of these and still fewer manage to exceed guests’ expectations in each of these claims.

The Rees Hotel Queenstown is such a property and is winning awards and accolades around the world for its success.

Located on the edge of Lake Wakatipu, looking out to The Remarkable Mountains and just minutes from the scenic Queenstown centre, the mountain backdrop and lake views are ever-changing and always mesmerising. The Rees is central to the wide range of high quality, year-round attractions and activities offered by Queenstown and the broader Southern Lakes District. The Rees offers a free shuttle service from the hotel to the downtown area of Queenstown and water taxi services, fishing charters and jet boat companies all utilise The Rees Wharf to look after the needs of guests.

Accommodation options include 60 spacious hotel-style rooms and 90 luxury apartments, all with balconies overlooking the magnificent lake and mountains. Architecture and furniture designs were provided by local artisans of international reputation and the history of Queenstown’s early settler and developer, William Rees, is enshrined in the valuable library and art available for guests to peruse as they sip the best of Central Otago wines and Bordeaux vintages from the masterfully stocked wine cellar. The Rees also offers incredible Culinary Series events.

The Rees Hotel has had continuing success, again winning the internationally prestigious US Wine Spectator magazine award of excellence this year for the hotel’s True South Dining Room wine list of 100 or more quality wine selections that thematically match a restaurant’s cuisine.

The hotel now provides all local calls and over 150 on-demand in-room movies, as well as Sky (cable) channels complimentary, as well as the free Wi-Fi that has been offered by The Rees since day one.

Later this year The Rees will open five superlative Lake Front Residences on stunning Lake Wakatipu to provide an even more luxurious option for the discerning few. therees.co.nz

Boutique Hotel on Paris Left Bank. Stay 4 Pay 3.

WE'RE SECOND-BIGGEST MARKET FOR THIS OH-SO-PARISIAN HOTEL

A award-winning 5-star boutique hotel of just 28 rooms and designed along the lines of a private residence in a refurbished 18th century building in the heart of Paris' Left Bank, is proving such a hit with Australian travellers that we are now its second-biggest market world-wide.

Yet while petite and intimate, the prestigeous Hotel Esprit Saint Germain comes big on services and with well-appointed rooms and suites offering tea and coffee making facilities, windows that open, high-speed internet, daily fresh fruit, flowers and restocking of the complimentary mini-bar, and newspaper of choice.

And a Library Lounge and Fireplace Lounge feature a complimentary bar where you can help yourself to Champagne, wines and spirits, while a Fitness Centre offering natural light overlooking the rooftops of Paris is uniquely available for guest's private use for an hour each day, including steam room, sauna and elliptical trainer, and with massage, private fitness coach and hairdresser available on request.

Owner Laurence Tafanel says Australians love the Left Bank ambiance of the hotel with its surrounding profusion of restaurants, antique stores, galleries and museums – and with Notre Dame Cathedral five minutes' walk away, Le Louvre Museum a little further, and a minute to the famed 1612 Luxembourg Palace and Gardens.

Refined and very Parisian, the Hotel Esprit Saint Germain is particularly popular with women travelling alone, business travellers, couples, honeymooners and for special occasion celebrations.

A current promotion for select dates in 2015 is stay-four-pay-3 nights including full American breakfast daily and priced from Euro 1,350 for two people.
