TLSee - Afternoon Tea With A Difference At Swissôtel The Howard, London

Big Ben, the Crown Jewels, the London Underground, St. Paul’s Cathedral and the London Eye are not only some of the sights that visitors to London can feast their eyes on, but also something to feast their appetites. TLSee (Tea, London and Sightseeing) is the new afternoon tea concept at Swissôtel The Howard, London that treats guests to edible versions of the famous sights of the city on the Thames.

TLSee will feature nine different London landmarks (some in 3-D) served up alongside traditional finger sandwiches and home-baked scones. Freshly prepared in the hotel patisserie, these TLSee treats are baked in special tin moulds created by Swissôtel The Howard, London’s Executive Chef Brian Spark which are exact miniature replicas of these famous sites.

“Afternoon tea is popular with locals and tourists alike, hence we have come up with a novel, humorous variant – the TLSee”, says Andreas Stys, General Manager of Swissôtel The Howard, London. “Visitors to London who are unable to make it to sights like Big Ben can take a break in our hotel and enjoy the landmarks in the form of a chocolate cake instead. Incidentally the name TLSee is derived from the common English expression TLC, which stands for tender loving care.”

TLSee afternoon tea is available from 10 September 2009 from 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm daily at Swissôtel The Howard, London. An introductory promotional price of £28 per person for the first month includes a glass of Alain Thienot champagne. Reservations can be made via +44 (0) 207 300 1700 or www.tlsee.co.uk.
