Travellers Benefit from 'Visit Korea Year' Freebies & Discounts

Travellers to Korea in 2011 can benefit from FREE nights at hotels, FREE transportation from Seoul to major tourist destinations like Gyeongju, Jeonju and Busan and gain discounts at restaurants, theatre performances, shopping and much more.

From March 2nd, the the Visit Korea Committeee (VKC) and Busan Municipal Government will launch a free shuttle bus from Seoul to Busan exclusively for foreigners.  The Seoul-Busan route is the third offering from the (VKC)  following introduction of free buses on the Seoul-Gyeongju and Seoul-Jeonju routes last year.

With the introduction of the new Seoul-Busan free shuttle it means that tourists to the country this year can effectively travel to many of the major tourist destinations in Korea for free.  Buses run only once per day so travellers need to reserve their seats online in advance of travel through the Visit Korea Year website www.visitkoreayear.com

The 'One More Night' promotion allows visitors to gain a free night's accommodation at selected hotels if they stay for a minimum three nights.  Stay three nights and get the fourth night free is available at select hotels at major tourist destinations around the country.

The hotel promotion is available at hotels ranging from three star to five star located in the capital Seoul as well as the major tourist cities such as Gyeongju, the ancient capital of Korea, the seaport city of Busan and beautiful Jeju Island off the southern coast of the country.

Also, visitors to Korea this year can take advantage of a discount coupon booklet freely available from the Sydney office of Korea Tourism Organziation (KTO) which allows visitors discounts on duty-free and shopping outlets as well as restaurants, cafes, museums, theatre performances and more.
