Dance into Novotel Canberra for a ‘French Affair’ with Toulouse-Lautrec

La Goulue at Moulin Rouge 1891 - 1892

As Official Accommodation Partner of the Toulouse-Lautrec: Paris & The Moulin Rouge exhibition, Novotel Canberra has created a 'French Affair' package that will transport you to the city of light in the late 19th century. The package includes accommodation, a welcome bottle of Beaujolais Villages and French cheese plate, two Green Fairy cocktails (made with absinthe), two untimed entry tickets to the exhibition, buffet breakfast and late check-out to 1pm - all from just $254 per room per night.

The Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition is the summer blockbuster for the National Gallery of Australia and is devoted to the works of bohemian 19th century artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec whose famous images of the Moulin Rouge and the underbelly of Paris have become signatures for all that is French. It will enable visitors to explore the artist's abilities as an acute observer of Parisian life and will trace his career from his earliest works to his extraordinary depictions of the Paris social scene. In paintings, drawings, posters and prints his works capture the dance halls, cafe concerts, brothels and theatres that made Paris the most colourful place to be in the 1800s. Every person who visits the exhibition has the chance to win a Renault Megane Hatch, so they can take a piece of France home with them.

Novotel Canberra is the city's best 4.5 star hotel, offering recently renovated rooms and public areas, outstanding leisure facilites including an indoor pool, spa and sauna, and an excellent bar and restaurant. Located in the heart of the city, the Novotel provides easy access to all the city's attractions.

This package is valid from 14 December 2012 to 2 April 2013, subject to availability.
