Silversea To Host Rare Buccellati Exhibition

Ultra-luxury Silversea Cruises' Silver Cloud will welcome Luca Buccellati, of the legendary Buccellati jewellers' family, on boardher 13 October 2014 sailing. Mr Buccellati will present a rare exhibition of one-of-a-kind jewellery creations.

Sharing in Silversea's rich Italian heritage, the Buccellati family, who opened their first boutique in Milan nearly a century ago, continues to design exquisite pieces with unparalleled craftsmanship.

"Buccellati creations have been exhibited at such prestigious galleries as the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto and Washington's Smithsonian Institution National Museum, so it's truly a special honour for us."

During this nine-day eastern Mediterranean cruise, Silversea guests will enjoy intriguing lectures and view displays of rare jewellery pieces. As an exclusive benefit, guests will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to custom-design their own piece of exquisite jewellery with a member of the Buccellati family.

The voyage sails roundtrip from Istanbul with calls in Kavala, Thessaloniki, Volos (gateway to the famous rock towers and monasteries of Meteora), Athens (Piraeus), Izmir, Constanza, and Nessebur, and includes passage through the historic Dardanelles and Bosphorus. Silver Privilege fares start at AU$5,150 per person.
