Children from Drought Affected Areas Enjoy a Day at Sea World!

Fifteen children from drought stricken districts of Western Victoria will tomorrow delight at the Sea World Fish Detectives Seal Show and experience a special meeting with a Seal as part of a Gold Coast Theme Park holiday.

Rotary Clubs in Western Victoria and the Gold Coast (Southport and Southport Broadwater and Burleigh Heads) have joined forces to provide a week’s holiday for fifteen children from drought affected areas of Western Victoria, most of which have been in drought for over five years – Nhill, Donald, Warracknabeal, Woomelang and other townships from the Western Woomera District.

The children were nominated by their schools and selected by Rotary’s District Drought Relief Committee, who finds ways to assist families impacted by the hardships of drought. The children’s holiday of a lifetime will include special visits to Warner Bros. Movie World and Sea World where fun, fantasy and entertainment come first!

As part of the children’s visit to Sea World they will experience the hilarious Fish Detectives Seal Show with a special opportunity to meet a Seal after the show.

Media are invited to come and see the children enjoying the Fish Detectives Seal Show and meeting a seal.
