DAY TRIP TO MELBOURNE FOR LUNCH
Virgin Blue is teaming up with Blue Holidays and Tourism Victoria during the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival to offer a day of epicurean exploration in Australia's capital of taste. Each year Melbourne Food and Wine Festival reaches into the laneways, bars and restaurants of Australia's "foodiest" city – and spills out into Victoria's regions – to bring food lovers a two week program of over 250 delicious events.
Luciano Pavarotti once said, "One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating."
To celebrate Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Blue Holidays, the holiday program of Virgin Blue, and Tourism Victoria are serving up an incredible day trip for a lavish lunch date in Melbourne.
Guests will fly Virgin Blue from Sydney to Melbourne for the day for an exclusive lunch at The Press Club Restaurant where their taste buds will embark on a delicious journey through a three-course menu designed by culinary maestro George Calombaris.
The treats don't end with dessert either as they will be joined at The Press Club by Masterchef judge Matt Preston and then spend the afternoon enjoying one of the festival's highlight events - Theatre of Ideas. They will also catch up with all the latest trends in the world of gastronomy and be given rare tantalising insight into two of the world's most controversial chefs: Andoni Luis Aduriz and Massimo Bottura.
