Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa Rallies Up Motorsport Package

Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa has partnered with the newest world-class race track in the southern hemisphere, Highlands Motorsport Park, to provide motorsport fans with quality accommodations while they get their car-racing fix.

As Highlands gears up for its second major event - featuring the BNT V8 SuperTourers, the UDC V8 Utes, Autosure Central Muscle Cars and the wings and slicks class of Toyota Racing Series on January 25 - 26 - Hilton has launched a limited-time deal for guests heading to the course. Valid on the two race days, the package includes:Exterior-17_FP

Next door to Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa is Kawarau Hotel, a modern 98 room, economical option also managed by Hilton. During the race days Kawarau Hotel will offer:

Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa will also run a complimentary shuttle for the 40-minute scenic journey from the resort to the Cromwell site on the event days.

"Through our partnership with Highlands for this package, we'll be able to give guests greater access to this new world class facility," said Andrew Nisbet, general manger, Hilton Queenstown Resort & Spa. "For future events we hope to extend similar special offers that will allow guests to get out and experience the area's most exciting new addition."

The Highland Motorsport Park opened in 2013 and held its first major international event in November, The Highlands 101. The inaugural event attracted a crowd of approximately 27,000 over the three-day period and the second event is expected to be just as successful. The January 2014 event will have some of New Zealand's biggest professional racers, including Greg Murphy, Shane Van Gisbergen and Scott Mclaughlin, trying their hand on the 4.5 km circuit.
