InterContinental Sydney and Sydney Symphony Orchestra Launch Intimate Music and Dining Soirees

Last week saw InterContinental Sydney launch the continuation of its partnership with internationally acclaimed, Sydney Symphony Orchestra for a series of exclusive live performances in the historic and breathtakingly beautiful, Cortile bar and lounge.

InterContinental Sydney strives to provide all guests and Sydneysiders with new experiences, whether through new sights, sounds, smells, tastes or touches. With this in mind, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra evening events have been designed to captivate guests’ ears, eyes and palates.
The launch event was held last night, 13th March, with further events to take place throughout April, June and August. Each intimate concert will take guests on a journey of discovery of music from years gone by, made more intense by perfectly crafted menus based upon the music being played or the era, location in which it has come from.
The launch event saw InterContinental Sydney’s highly -esteemed chefs, Tamas Pamer and Julien Pouteau develop a menu to take guests from Renaissance Venice to the New York Jazz era; from Handel’s Water Music Suite to Bernstein’s West Side Story, as performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet. Cocktails and canapés took guests’ taste buds on a sensory journey; Caviar, Duck à l'orange, Ceviche de Pescado and a Fat-Washed Bourbon just a few of the flavours that created this immersive and intense occasion.
“We are extremely excited to bring this new and exciting sensory experience to Sydneysiders, in an intimate and stunning environment. With access to some of the world’s greatest musicians alongside our team of highly skilled creative chefs, we believe this year’s partnership with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will be extremely enjoyable” said Robert Miletic, InterContinental Sydney Director of Sales and Marketing.
