Celebrate the spirit of the ANZACs and honour their legacy this centenary with Trafalgar

As next year marks the centenary of the Gallipoli landings, Trafalgar (www.trafalgar.com), the global leader in guided holidays, is inviting clients to celebrate the legend of the ANZACs and discover the historical regions of Turkey when choosing from two emotionally-charged itineraries.

In response to unprecedented demand, the Insider is accepting bookings on its 2015 ANZAC Day guided holidays to all guests including those without balloted tickets, offering Australians and New Zealanders a chance to be a part of this commemorative experience.
image006To avoid disappointment, agents are urged to get in fast to secure their clients a spot to see Gallipoli from the inside selecting from the 9-day Highlights of Turkey with Anzac Day or the 15-day Best of Turkey with Anzac Day guided holidays. For lucky guests who received a ticket in the ballot, they will travel from Bursa to Canakkale where they’ll enjoy a special remembrance dinner at a local restaurant, before taking part in the events at Gallipoli including the Dawn Service. Non balloted ticket holders will still be able to honour the bravery and sacrifice of WWI soldiers and all Australian servicemen and women, visiting Gallipoli earlier on in the itineraries.
Matthew Cameron-Smith, Managing Director, Trafalgar Australia said: “Following the release of the 2015 ANZAC Day ballot, we have been inundated with booking requests as many Australians and New Zealanders vie to be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime, global event. Our specialist group offering allows us to easily package up our renowned Insider Experiences with the travel essentials, to take clients deep into this historical region and provide them with a hassle-free yet immersive means of reflecting on our war-torn past.
“We truly understand the significance of this event, thus have increased our capacity on both dedicated departures to also cater to clients who missed out on a balloted ticket, providing them with options to still be a part of several milestone occasions whilst discovering many historical landmarks throughout Turkey.”
Led by specialist Travel Directors who live and breathe the history of the ANZAC legend, clients will discover ANZAC Cove, Lone Pine cemetery and areas of Turkey through the eyes of a local when travelling on these two extensions. They’ll visit ancient ruins in the city of Troy, discover Istanbul's spectacular Blue Mosque and be welcomed into the homes of locals for a special Be My Guest dining experience. The Highlights of Turkey with Anzac Day guided holiday is priced from $1799 per person – twin share (land only) departs 18 April 2015, with the Best of Turkey with ANZAC Day guided holiday priced from $2625 per person – twin share (land only) departs 13 April 2015.
