Tour De Vines launches new tours to Provence for those who love the outdoors, French food and wine, and a touch of exercise

Tour De Vines caters for those who aren't hard core cyclists, but love the social aspect of being outdoors and enjoying great cuisine as well as those who enjoy their cycling. They have tours for every level of cyclist.

So whatever your choice of cycling attire from lycra to cinos, Tour de Vines will set you along the lavender scented paths in picture perfect rolling hills dotted with vineyards and a mountain backdrop in Provence, one of France’s most idyllic country villages. Tour de Vines, an Australian wine cycle tourism specialist has created three new cycling itineraries in Van Gogh’s romantic home where one can visit medieval castles, dine in incredible restaurants and sample the famed Chateauneuf du Pape wines, amongst many.
These three new programs Provence Roman, Provence Luberon and Tour de Provence complement the already popular unnamed (8)Tour de Bordeaux and Tour de Loire Valley programs.  There is something for every level of cyclist from easy to moderate to experienced with a wide range of departures beginning in May and continuing to October.
Sample the local food starting with a sweet Cavaillon melon or one of the classified goats’ cheeses accompanied with fresh figs or order a selection of tapenades in this Spanish influenced district. There are truffles, bouillabaisse and the local daube (beef casserole) finished off with ambrosia of the gods made by Chocolatier Joel Durand in St Remy or the master Nougatier Boyer of Sault might provide a lighter option.
Tour de Vines will immerse you in the environment and culture and especially in the traditional flavours that permeate Provencal cuisine and wines seeking out the road less travelled on inspirational cycling journeys.
The Tour de Provence itineraries start at $AUD2800 for seven days and six nights for the Tour de Provence Roman and includes all accommodation, bike hire and helmet, full breakfasts each day and gourmet dinners each night, fine wine and soft drink, two bilingual guides, entry fees to attractions and historical sites.
Dates are:
11 & 25 May $A2,800
8 June $A2,800
14 & 28 Sept $A2,800
