What's new in the Hawaiian Island

Exciting new attractions in Hawai`i are making it an ever better place to shop, explore and relax.

SHOP TILLYOU DROP!
The Royal Hawai`ian Centre in Waikiki has had a US$115 million refurbishment and is now home to 110 shops from Bulgari to Cartier, FENDI and Salvatore Ferragamo as well as 10 restaurants.

The mega shopping mall Ala Moana in Honolulu has had a major expansion with new retail and dining establishments adding to its phenomenal line up of 200 stores.

HOTELS, RESORTS, CLUBS
The boutique Aqua Coconut Waikiki has completed a US$2.6 million renovation. The rooms are retro style and there is a new fitness room and hip breakfast area.

The Wyland Waikiki Hotel has added the Italian-inspired Spada Bar and Restaurant and the Spa Pure, offering in-room and poolside treatments.

Waikiki Parc Hotel now offers guests the chance to zip around Oahu in a new Lotus Elise sports car. What a way to feel the Hawai`ian wind in your hair and see the sights!

The iconic Halekulani is upgrading its Hospitality Suite, business centre and fitness room and will unveil a luxurious Halekulani Signature Suite.

The new Pearl at the Ala Moana Centre in Waikiki is a new US$2.2 million superclub with three runway-style bars and tunes by hot DJ Paul Brandon.

ACTIVITIES & EVENTS – A BUSY LINE UP!
Waikiki Nei theatre production at the Royal Hawai`ian Centre traces the evolution of Waikiki. After the show the theatre converts to Level4 nightclub and Ultra Lounge with a huge 4500sqft dance floor.

The Honolulu Symphony has announced its line-up for the Halekulani MasterWorks 2008-9 featuring guitarist Sharon Isbin, cellist Alisa Weilerstein and violinist Cho-Liang and soprano Sumi Jo.

Star of Honolulu Cruise & Events now offers the chance to see wild dolphins in their natural habitat from aboard its new ship Hoku Nai’a, with tours by the crew, who are certified naturalists!

FESTIVALS, FESTIVALS, FESTIVALS!
The 14th Annual Honolulu Festival theme has been announced: "Experience the Wonder". It will showcase the Pacific’s rich culture and traditions, from March 14-16, 2008.

The annual Romance Festival in May has R&B, pop and jazz greats in Hawai`i’s most beautiful settings. Watch this space for the 2009 line-up.

GOLF – THE NEW B.I.G. SEASON
The first ever Big Island Golf Season runs Sep 9 to Nov 15 on the six islands’ 80 golf courses. You can time your visit to coincide with the annual PGA Tour, Championships Tour and LPGA.
