QUEENSLAND CRUISING - THE LATEST TRAVEL TREND THAT'S SO HOT RIGHT NOW

It's a travel secret that international visitors have clued on but many locals have yet to discover. Seeing Queensland by sea on a cruise is a unique Australian travel experience, and doing it any other way – by car or air - would mean missing out on half the fun. This cruising season, Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas and Rhapsody of the Seas will offer a total of six 10- or 11- night Queensland sailings. Best of all, Royal Caribbean has some incredible deals which will give more incentive for Australians to discover this hot travel trend for themselves.

"Our Queensland cruises keep growing in popularity with international visitors, where traditionally they would have just chosen Round Australia or New Zealand cruises. They love it because the cruise allows them to be right in the heart of the action, in some of the most magnificent marine and coastal geography in the world such as the Great Barrier Reef and the Whitsundays. They also love the diversity of the experience – from being in beautiful nature, to visiting some of most fun destinations  in the world, and all the while, having the time of their lives on board on a Royal Caribbean cruise.

"For the 2012-13 summer cruise season, we have two extensively revitalised ships sailing to Queensland.  Rhapsody of the Seas and Radiance of the Seas, are destinations themselves, and will offer activities, culinary options, and itineraries to suit all tastes, and all ages. Because we know our guests love the destinations so much, our itineraries feature overnight stops in Cairns and stops in the stunning Whitsundays," said Adam Armstrong, commercial manager, Royal Caribbean Cruises Australia.

Royal Caribbean is offering 50 per cent off the cruise fare of a second guest on selected Queensland cruises including:

An 11-night round trip cruise from Sydney onboard Rhapsody of the Seas departing 7 December 2012. Fares start from $1,299 for the first guest, and $649.50 for the second guest, for an interior stateroom.

Departing Sydney 9 April 2012, cruise onboard Radiance of the Seas in a Balcony stateroom for 10 nights, with fares for the first guest starting from $1,799 and $899.50 for the second guest.
