This Weeks Great Deals from ecruising.travel

Hi Cruisers,

As promised, below are some photo's from Carnival Spirit one night cruise. I'm sorry there are not more of the ship but the team seemed more interested in photographing themselves! It's been 11 years since I've seen the Spirit and it has aged pretty well. The entertainment was good, my food was very good at dinner, my steak was still glistening when it was served up and cooked to perfection. Green Thunder, the new addition was a real hit with the crowd, I personally haven't tried it but anyone I spoke to after the ride seemed pretty excited. The area top aft of the ship called serenity which is really nice with cabana's, lounges etc, bit like a resort pool area without the pool, great places to escape the masses.

We were lucky with the weather, it was a perfect Sydney sunny day sailing out through the heads, we left at 3.30pm so we could go into international waters which enabled them to open the Casino and Shops. It all seemed to end very quickly and I was off early, I think while most of the team were still sleeping! 7 of us went on so if you have questions about Spirit, one of the team members can answer them I'm sure.

Jay and I went on Oosterdam yesterday for an inspection and lunch and I have to say, I really liked it, much better than previous HAL ships I've seen, it was much brighter inside and some really innovative ideas. One in particular was the cooking classes, they have a special room set up with a kitchen, it looked amazing and it's FREE! You can pay a small charge and cook with the Executive Chef, eat what you cook with paired wines, sounds pretty good.
The other was the learning centre sponsored by Microsoft. It's a really cool space set up with lap tops and a man employed by Microsoft to teach people on board, it's free which is great. I met the man himself and he said he loves teaching people and seeing the learning and growing on board about how to use a computer.

You can probably tell I liked the ship and considering it is 5 star and we have cruises at $80.00 a day, why not jump on board?!
