Add some competitive spirit to a Vanuatu trip

If getting fit or upping your fitness or competition programme was on the top of your new year's resolution list, then look to Vanuatu this year as an attractive incentive. Within easy reach from Australia and offering an abundance of experiences on and off the track, including a line -up of events for all levels to take part in, Vanuatu has something for sporting and non-sporting enthusiasts alike.

From the Vanuatu Triathlon in April, the Open Water Swim in June, and the three-day Adventure Race in October, there is something for active Aussies all year round.   These action packed events take in the island destination's idyllic beaches and lagoons, lush rainforest and unique countryside, showcasing the spectacular variety of landscapes and experiences that Vanuatu has to offer.

For those combining some friendly competition with a holiday, or for accompanying non-competitors, Vanuatu's main island of Efate offers even more excitement and adventure to discover. Visitors can take in the island's striking sights such as the Mele Cascades, explore the island off-road by buggy, or indulge in the luxuries offered at one of Port Vila's many resorts.
