Longest Smooch on Scoot Wins
February 15, 2013: Scoot, Singapore's newest award winning low-cost carrier, celebrated its first Valentine's Day with a "Longest Smooch on Scoot" competition on board two of its flights yesterday. Mr Mark Eric Mercado Castor and Ms Don Roxanne Vidar Dela Cena beat three other couples and locked lips for 35 minutes on Scoot's flight from Singapore to Bangkok. The winning couple walked away with a pair of ScootBiz tickets to any of Scoot's destinations plus 1-night accommodation, on the house.
While there was a clear winner on board the Singapore to Bangkok flight, the return proved just too hot (with passion) to handle – the five enthusiastic couples who participated in the competition were inseparable and were unable to part lips for the entire journey! They kissed while standing, sitting, squatting and persisting till the flight was about to descend.
Scoot's CEO Campbell Wilson who was on board (sans kissing partner) ultimately declared all five couples the winners, each couple receiving a pair of Economy Fly tickets to a Scoot destination they desire. Said Campbell, "What a fun experience! It was great to celebrate the spirit of Valentine's Day, and in a much more enjoyable way than just keeping ones hand on a car! We only hope that our fantastic couples haven't prematurely exhausted their passion!"
