Topdeck Dishes Up New Foodie Adventure

A foodie trip featuring lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant and another gulet cruise exploring Turkey and Greece are among the new adventures in Topdeck’s largest and most comprehensive summer program to date.

Topdeck’s Europe 2014 brochure contains over 100 youth adventure holidays along with a fresh format and new ‘link 2 trips’ icon for ideas on which itineraries can be linked.

Topdeck is also offering a 10% earlybird discount for trips booked and paid by 15 January 2014 – its longest earlybird booking period yet.

The new 15-day European Taste Trail travels from London to Rome focusing on some of Europe’s best food and wine areas and including lunch at Michelin-star restaurant La Bastide Saint-Antoine in the French Riviera from $3348* per person.

Travellers will also experience a ‘City Lights’ tour and an optional macaron baking class in Paris, a bike ride through the vineyards and wine tasting in Burgundy, a visit to a cheese factory with tastings, a night out in glitzy Monaco, Parma ham sampling in Parma, a cooking class, wine and olive oil tastings in Tuscany and a walking tour of Rome.

The new 15-day Balkan Explorer explores the best of the Balkans including Budapest, Belgrade, Sarajevo, Dubrovnik, Budva, Zadar and Ljubljana from $2309* per person.

The trip, which combines with programs such as Croatia Sailing, starts in Budapest or Dubrovnik with highlights including entry to the famous Gellert Baths, a walking tour of Dubrovnik, wine tasting in Croatia and entry to the spectacular Plitvice Lakes.

Topdeck has also introduced the 7-day Greek Sailing adventure which sails through the breathtakingly beautiful Sardonic Islands and includes yacht sailing lessons from $792*; and the 8-day Turkey & Greek Island Gulet Cruise visiting Fethiye, Rhodes, Ekincik and more aboard a traditional Turkish motor boat from $986*.

“2013 marks Topdeck’s milestone 40th birthday and we’re celebrating with our biggest and best summer program yet,” Topdeck Asia Pacific Director of Sales Ben Ittensohn said.

“Big fans of innovation and still carrying on with our ‘need to be different’ philosophy, we’ve introduced some exciting new trips for 2014 offering unforgettable experiences from lunch at a Michelin-star restaurant to trips through the lesser known Greek and Turkish islands.

“Plus with our new link trips feature and our longest earlybird booking period to date, it’s easier than ever to plan multiple trips and pay off your adventure in plenty of time.”

Popular itineraries such as the 8-day Croatia Sailing, 8-day Turkey Gulet Cruise and 10-day Greek Island Hopper also feature in the brochure, along with packages to festivals such as Oktoberfest and Running of the Bulls, and Anzac Day and winter itineraries.

All trips feature included ‘Totally Topdeck’ experiences such as a Paris City Lights tour, gondola ride in Venice, winery experience in Tuscany and an Amsterdam bike tour, as well as plenty of free time, more included meals and no tipping policy.

The brochure has taken on a new look and feel as part of Topdeck’s ‘I Travel Therefore I Am’ campaign, which aims to share the unique and individual experiences of its passengers and will be progressively rolled out in the coming weeks.

Colourful photos taken by passengers and posted to Topdeck’s Instagram page play a starring role in the revamped brochure.
