Celebrate 100 years of ANZAC on the River Kwai with David Reeves and InterAsia

Asia travel specialist InterAsia is offering the opportunity to commemorate the 100th anniversary of
ANZAC at one of this country’s most revered overseas wartime sites – the Bridge on the River Kwai.

The ANZAC anniversary falls during an eight-day fully escorted ‘Eastern & Oriental Express ANZAC Journey’ departing from Bangkok on 22 April 2015.

Personally escorted by Asia travel expert David Reeves, this special tour comes complete with luxury accommodation stays in Bangkok and Singapore and a three-day fine dining experience  travelling aboard the legendary Eastern & Oriental Express as it makes its way from Thailand via Malaysia to Singapore.

A highlight of the train program is the stop at the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi Province on ANZAC Day 2015 where passengers will commemorate the ANZAC Centenary. There will be an expert on board to present the  history of the region and its wartime past.

The tour will also visit the famous bridge, the War Museum and Cemetery.

The program includes a stop at Butterworth on Penang Island where many Australian troops and airmen were based during WWII and the Malayan Emergency.

Featured five-star accommodation for the Bangkok and Singapore section of the tour has been reserved at the Mandarin Oriental in both cities.

Added tour bonuses include a tour of the Royal Grand Palace in Bangkok and the Changi Chapel and World War II Museum in Singapore.

Prices start from $3990 per person twin share which includes all accommodation with daily breakfast, fine dining – lunch and dinner – while on board the Eastern & Oriental Express, all tours and sightseeing as per program.

*Conditions apply. Please note spaces on this exclusive program are limited.
