Ten years young and still flying high!
Air Tahiti Nui, the international airline of Tahiti and Her Islands will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year, and as part of the festivities, the airline has introduced a special "10 years logo" that will appear on all of its aircraft.
Since its inaugural flight in 1998 from Papeete to Los Angeles, Air Tahiti Nui has been consistently recognised for its excellence, having been named Best Pacific Airline for the past five years in the global Skytrax Awards.
"Our tenth anniversary is a very exciting achievement for us," said Craig Lee, Regional Manager Australia for Air Tahiti Nui.
"Our aim is to provide easy access to tropical Tahiti for tourists and business people, as well as making Tahiti a unique stopover destination between Australasia, the Americas and Europe," said Mr Lee.
"We also offer a unique blend of in-flight quality and traditional Tahitian style hospitality, which has been a key factor in our many award wins," he said.
From Australia passenger numbers continue to grow, with Tahiti becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination for couples, families and thrill seekers alike.
From Sydney, the airline offers two nonstop flights a week to Papeete, with onward service to the USA and Europe. There are also two weekly services from Sydney to Papeete, via Auckland.
All Air Tahiti Nui flights are operated with three-class Airbus A340-300 aircraft.
