Located in the Riau archipelago on Tanjong Said beach in Bintan Island, Indonesia, Banyan Tree Bintan offers couples a romantic escape, just an hour away from Singapore. Nestled among one of the oldest tropical coastal rainforests in the world, all of the 64 pool villas offer stunning views of the South China Sea.

Banyan Tree Bintan introduces the Banyan Indulgence promotion, valid for a minimum three night stay at the resort. This includes daily buffet breakfast, return ferry tickets for two between Singapore and Bintan (ferry cost will be deducted from the final hotel bill upon checkout) and return land transfers by a private car. The promotion also includes an Intimate Moments set-up, where the jet-pool is decorated with flower petals with a complimentary bottle of wine, for an evening of romance and intimacy. The promotion is valid from now till 28 September 2013, for stays from now till 30 September 2013.

Banyan Tree Bintan has recently introduced a new in-villa dining experience called Blue Moon that takes its inspiration from inky blue skies which surround the island. Blue-coloured lanterns cast a soothing romantic glow around the villa’s terrace, accompanied by a plethora of candles and soft jazz music playing in the background. Offered at USD $85++ per person, the menu begins with a Ceviche of Hand Dived Scallops, Citrus and Crispy Fennel or Beef Carpaccio with Lemon Dressing followed by a Pan-Fried Seabass Fillet with Leek-Potato Gratin, Caramelized Pumpkin and Citrus Sauce or Veal Fillet with an aged Chianti Reduction.

The resort is renowned for its plethora of destination dining experiences which bring guests together in intimate, natural settings that play up Bintan’s lush tropical environment. Dinner on the Rock, at USD $149++ per person, is a four-course meal served amid giant boulders cast away on the sand. Twinkling tea lights are nestled between these boulders, and guests are fetted by a private butler and chef. Dinner at 8, set on the 8th hole of the Laguna Bintan Golf Club, is a five-course menu offered at USD $149++ per person, showcasing panoramic views of the South China Sea and the quiet passage of softly lit boats as they sail by in the night.

The Banyan Tree Spa also plays an important part in the rejuvenation experience by offering guests a wide selection of treatments fusing traditional Southeast Asian ingredients led by highly trained therapists. High on the list of recommendations is the signature Harmony Banyan package which features a massage with an herbal pouch dipped in warm sesame oil, indulgently applied by two therapists working in unison.

To showcase local culture and indigenous ingredients, the Indonesian Traditions packages are dedicated to therapies reflecting the uniqueness of the destination. Balinese Boreh for men features a carrot body scrub followed by a rejuvenating boreh paste wrap made from roots, herbs and spices while the royal Javanese Lulur for women incorporates the lulur scrub, believed to be one of nature’s best exfoliating methods and used by ladies of royal Javanese households for centuries.
