Seabourn’s ‘Extended Explorations’ Add Up To More Of A Good Thing

Seabourn has introduced Extended Explorations, a novel way for travellers to enjoy longer cruises on the line’s award-winning small ships, with the added luxury of a wide range of choices regarding where and when they sail.

For 2014 and 2015, the luxury line has crafted new, linked itineraries allowing guests to explore more extensive regions of the globe in depth, and at greater savings, during voyages lasting from 28 days to extended sailings of up to 116 days.

“A lot of travellers prefer a long, leisurely voyage, and they also love the idea of really exploring a particular part of the world,” said Seabourn’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Sales John Delaney. “So we have Extended Explorations in Africa, Asia, the South Pacific and South America and Antarctica that really pack a lot of port content into the time, exploring the whole of West and South Africa, for instance, plus the beautiful Indian Ocean islands and exciting new Asian destinations such as Myanmar. And during those voyages, they’ll enjoy the heightened sense of camaraderie and the relaxing continuity that come with a long voyage, plus all the personalised Seabourn hospitality they have come to expect from us.”

Extended Explorations are available in different lengths, in different regions, and in different seasons throughout the year. Extended Explorations voyages will offer additional savings of 10 per cent on combined cruises, plus frequent overnight stays in ports, regionally-themed menus and wines on board, local entertainment, regionally-focused experts for Seabourn Conversations onboard enrichment and optional, escorted mid-cruise Seabourn Journeys to nearby cultural or historical highlights.
