Tour Grand Pacific’s New Website

Grand Pacific Tours, the New Zealand Luxury Coach Holiday specialist, have announced the release of their new website. Which can be found at www.grandpacifictours.com.

Director of Sales & Marketing, Mark Windsor, stated “We have been working on this new website for close to 12 months. This has ensured that all elements of the site will provide an easy experience for our customers to explore the site and find the information they require. The site has been built on a content management system and allows us to make changes and update the information very quickly in-house.”

“The first thing that you will notice is that it is a lot easier to navigate and has a clean look and feel to it. We have built the site to complement our current release of brochures which have also undergone a style change.”

In keeping with Grand Pacific’s philosophy of only dealing with travel agents, the site is not a booking engine, but lists all the information that anyone may wish to know about Grand Pacific Tours’ holiday offerings.

The front page, apart from having a welcome statement, will have a number of promotions randomly rotating each time a person visits the site. This may include general information, interesting happenings within Grand Pacific Tours, and updates on tours or competitions.

To coincide with the launch of the website all travellers who shall be departing on our Special Interest Tours throughout the year – Steam Train Journey 2008, Garden Tour 2008, Classic Fighters 2009 and Lawn Bowls Tour 2009 – are being invited to submit their five best photos from their tour. The best photo from each tour will then win a $250 voucher for Camera House. Full details can be found on the website under the New Section.

All of the tour itineraries are listed with a full day by day description and the ability to download the individual brochures, tour itinerary as well booking forms. A Google Map highlighting areas within the itinerary is also a feature. The site also lists all the departure dates that are available on all the tours and this will be constantly updated as new departure dates become available.

The General Information section has an informative list of things that travellers need to know prior to departing on their holiday as well as useful links to New Zealand websites and a glossary of commonly used Maori words and sayings with their meaning.

The Key Partners section highlights all of Grand Pacific Tours’ major partnerships with community groups and associations including their National Sponsorship of Probus and National Awareness partnership with Alzheimer’s Australia.

The newest innovation within the website is the inclusion of a News Section which will have four sections. The first section entitled New Zealand News will be dedicated to news on the New Zealand Travel Industry. The second section Grand Years will be a dedicated section to stories of interest to seniors – whether it be relating to health, general interest or the latest statutory information. Respected journalist Frank Morris has been commissioned to write this section. The third section will contain news relating to Grand Pacific Tours, in particular their e-newsletter Panorama NZ. The final section will contain a list of all the days that Grand Pacific Tours conduct Experience New Zealand promotions and coach expos. This will be a downloadable pdf document.

Grand Pacific Tours’ newsletter, Panorama NZ, shall also be revamped as part of the website upgrade and shall be produced in a similar format and emailed to subscribers bi-monthly instead of quarterly. Subscription is free and can be made on-line from the website.

Overall the website will ensure a pleasant customer experience and the content shall be relevant and varied for repeat visitations.
