A RELAIS & CHATEAUX RETREAT CELEBRATING ITS TENTH YEAR

WARREN, VT, May 2008 -- After April's mud season, something delicious happens to Vermont. It turns simply green (think Green Mountains).

This year The Pitcher Inn, Vermont's only inn recognized by the prestigious Relais & Châteaux, embraces the green season with Celebrate-Recreate-Dine packages for Moms, Dads, lovers, golfers and spa fanatics.  This year also marks the Inn's 10th anniversary of welcoming travelers from around the globe to Vermont.

All packages come with a two-night minimum stay at this Warren, VT hostelry that's recognized internationally for its sophisticated services combined with a dash of whimsy. You know you've left home when you stay in Trout or Mountain after enjoying Chef Sue Shickler's presentations riverside and al fresco.  In addition to the guest rooms accomplishing a mental getaway, the Inn's Alta Day Spa infuses guests in pampering treatments in its highly restorative environs. The Spa is recognized as the finest in Vermont, offering a holistic approach to traditional massage and facial programs.

In honor of its stellar 10th, the Pitcher Inn offers a special Ten Package from May 1 through July 3, 2008 featuring 10 percent off all rooms, wines and spirits, cuisine, spa treatments plus a $10 certificate per guest towards purchases at the Inn's Warren Store.  Rates start at $425 per night, per room and include full breakfast daily and afternoon tea.  10 percent will be deducted off nightly rate and all above components.

A two-night Weekends in Vermont package for two includes accommodations, full breakfast and afternoon tea daily and one evening of dinner for two. This starts at $799 for two nights in May and June based on availability and room selection. For a good-anytime-Mother's Day gift day add $180 for a spa package that includes two 60-minute treatments; or for Fathers Day add $180 for two rounds of golf or one round and a 60-minute spa treatment. (Note: these rates aren't available on Memorial Weekend.)
