SEADREAM I AND II NAMED BERLITZ TOP 5-STAR CRUISE SHIPS

SeaDream Yacht Club's mega motor-cruisers SeaDream I and SeaDream II have been named World's Best 5-star ships in the just-released 2009 edition of cruise industry 'bible' Berlitz Guide to Ocean Cruising and Cruise Ships.

The only ship given a higher rating was Europa that is operated primarily for the German-speaking market and which scored 5-Stars-Plus.

Author of the Berlitz Guide, Douglas Ward said: "The two SeaDream ships really are the ultimate exclusive boutique vessels for sophisticated, independent and well-travelled couples – like having your own private yacht in which hospitality, anticipation and personal recognition are an art form practiced to a high level.

"Culinary excellence prevails… the freshest and finest quality ingredients  are used in the best culinary artistry, with fine, unhurried European service."

SeaDream I and SeaDream II, that each carries just fifty-five couples served by 95 crew, topped the Berlitz Five Star Club's field of twenty contenders.

Company President, CEO and Co-owner, Larry Pimentel said the Berlitz recognition was an amazing honour for the company, which had been recognised by the Guide every year since SeaDream's inception in 2001.

"It is an honour due to a total team effort, not only shipboard officers and staff, but also our colleagues in all our offices ashore," Mr Pimentel said.
