130,000-ton Carnival Dream to sail a range of European and Caribbean itineraries
Travel the World has announced a range of exciting European and Caribbean itineraries onboard Carnival Cruise Lines' yet to be released Carnival Dream. Entering service in September 2009, Carnival Dream will be the largest ever constructed Carnival ship with a number of innovative, never before seen amenities.
The 3,646-passenger Carnival Dream will make its debut on 21 September 2009 with a 12-night Grand Mediterranean cruise from Rome (Civitavecchia). The cruise calls at Naples, Livorno and Venice, Italy; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Messina, Sicily; Monaco and Barcelona, Spain. Two additional cruises will be offered on 3 and 15 October 2009. Fares start at $1,631 per person twin share, while taxes and fuel supplements are additional.
Carnival Dream will then sail on a 16-night trans-Atlantic crossing from Rome (Civitavecchia) to New York from 27 October to 12 November 2009. This itinerary will call at Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Malaga, Spain; Las Palmas, Canary Islands and King's Wharf, Bermuda. Prices start at $1,302 per person twin share, excluding taxes and fuel supplements.
From New York, Carnival Dream will operate two 8-night Bahamas/Florida cruises departing on 15 and 23 November 2009. Highlights include Port Canaveral, Florida and Nassau and Freeport, The Bahamas.
Carnival Dream will then reposition to Port Canaveral for year-round 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean cruises beginning on 5 December, 2009. Priced from $788 per person twin share (excluding taxes and fuel supplements), the 7-night Eastern Caribbean cruises will call at Nassau; St. Thomas, St. John, US Virgin Islands and St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Meanwhile, the 7-night Exotic Western Caribbean itinerary will include Cozumel; Belize; Costa Maya and Isla Roatan, with prices starting at $775 per person twin share. Taxes and fuel supplements are additional.
Carnival Dream will boast more outdoor deck space and more stateroom categories than any current Carnival ship. This includes an innovative two-bathroom configuration catering specifically to families. The liner will also feature the largest Carnival Spa ever built, Carnival Waterworks and a bold new dining and entertainment concept called The Piazza. Additionally, the ship will offer the most elaborate children's facilities at sea, including expansive play areas and 'scenic whirlpools' that extend over the ship's beam.
