Introducing Fiji's Sigatoka River Safari

Fiji's Best Experience and Adventure Tour

For the best authentic Fijian experience for 2 to 92 year olds, look no further than Sigatoka River Safari, winner of the 2008 Best Fiji Experience and 2007 Best Adventure Tour at the annual AON Fiji Excellence in Tourism Awards.

As Fiji's original jet-boat safari, Sigatoka River Safari offers a half-day, uniquely Fijian adventure into the heart and soul of Fiji, aboard custom-built safari jet boats.

The four and half hour adventure starts from the minute passengers depart Sigatoka Town as they embark on a spectacular 10 mile journey through the picturesque Sigatoka Valley, or fertile "salad bowl" of Fiji as it is called by locals, to the jet boat departure point.

After a short stroll thorough the Fijian jungle, passengers board the safari jet boat on the Sigatoka River where they see first-hand the inner beauty of the main island of Fiji.

As the boats head up Fiji's longest river into the highlands, passengers learn about the amazing history of Fiji, the Sigatoka Valley and the ways in which the river was and still is used today.

The tour then reaches a village destination where a warm welcome by the villagers awaits. Passengers visit the village Chief's bure, take part in a kava ceremony, tour the authentic village and are treated to a traditional Fijian lunch. The village visit ends with traditional Fijian singing and dancing.

Sigatoka River Safari operates Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 1.00pm. For pick-ups from Coral Coast resorts prices are adults FJD$210.00 and children (4 -15yrs) FJD$99.00.
