Oasis Overland launches new website

Oasis Overland, an adventure travel company specialising in worldwide overland trips, is launching a brand new website today.

The new site has been given a more vibrant look with clear graphics and photo galleries to inspire prospective adventurers to travel, explore and discover new places and cultures.  More interactive features have been created with the ability to put together a wish-list and to hold a place on a trip before committing to making a booking.  Gift vouchers are another new feature, enabling family and friends to make a financial contribution.  All this is made easy with straightforward navigation and clear-cut, comprehensive information.

The site retains the down-to-earth feel and reflects the plain-speaking attitude of Oasis Overland, telling it like it is so that prospective travellers really know what to expect on an adventurous trip to developing countries.  Those thinking of joining the 40 week Trans Africa expedition should take note – there are times when the going is 'extremely tough - days of rough roads and harsh terrains and extremes of weather'!

Less arduous but equally adventurous is Oasis Overland's newest trip and one of the first Featured Trips on the new site.  The Roof of Africa Overland Adventure is a 21 day journey through Tunisia, Libya and Egypt, travelling by overland truck from the legendary city of Carthage to Cairo's Pyramids and Sphinx.  In Libya, the route takes in WWII sites and Roman ruins, desert oases and deserted beaches, mountain villages and the ancient Greek city of Cyrene.  Accommodation includes campsites, a troglodyte cave hotel and nights in the Sahara desert.

The website home page also provides the opportunity to get stuck in straight away and find the ideal trip by:

Location - Middle East, South America, Africa, Asia

Trip Style - Regional Explorer, Overland Adventure, Ultimate Expedition

Special Event - Rio Carnival, Anzac Day, Inti Raymi festival in Peru, Christmas, New Year, Easter

Special Offers - Late availability, group discounts, second and third trip discounts

Travel clothing, equipment, medicine and guide book discounts can also be found on the Special Offers page, available to those booking an Oasis trip.

Perhaps most importantly, a member of the Oasis Overland team will be at the end of the phone for those who like to speak to a real person.

The launch of Oasis Overland's new website follows on from the new logo and new-look brochure, launched last November.

Notes to Editors: Oasis Overland is now in its 12th year of operating adventure trips in Africa, the Middle East, South America and Asia.  The company is located in Somerset on an old WWII airfield.  This is the base for office HQ and a workshop for building and adapting vehicles for overland use and for training crew.  The Oasis Overland philosophy is to provide excellent value for money trips for budget-conscious travellers without compromising their experiences, using quality vehicles, equipment and crew.
