Dublin Voted Friendliest City in Europe

Dublin has been named the friendliest city in Europe for the second year running, in a survey of travellers’ perceptions of European cities by TripAdvisor®, the world’s most popular and largest travel community.

“Dublin is well worth a visit – the locals were so warm and friendly and made me so welcome,” wrote one TripAdvisor reviewer.

Luke Fredberg, TripAdvisor spokesman, says, “Europe’s capital cities all have their highs and lows, but no other continent offers travellers’ such a wealth of culture and sights within such short distances. The warm welcome that travellers receive in Dublin makes the city a great choice for holiday-makers seeking both fantastic sights and friendly locals.”

Two Irish properties fared particularly well in the Top Ten Best Hidden Gems in the world category:

Killeen House, Killarney, Co. Kerry - Killeen House

Loch Lein Country House in Killarney, Co. Kerry - Loch Lein Country House
Loch Lein was also voted into the top 10 best service in Europe and best bargains in the world
