Surf's up at Fiji's Plantation Island

Fiji's Plantation Island Resort has joined forces with local company Surfin' Fiji to offer daily boat transfers to some of Fiji's most famous surf breaks.

These include several of Fiji's most waves including the world class 'Cloudbreak', Desperations, Namotu and Wilkes Passage.

Daily transfers to Namotu and Wilkes cost FJD50 per person while trips out to  Cloudbreak and Desperations are FJD70 per person.

The price includes three hours surfing time and safety support. Surf board hire is also available from FJD40 per day.

The surf breaks have been the venue for numerous professional surfing competitions, including the prestigious Billabong Pro Surf and Roxy Pro Surf in recent times.

The sport has enjoyed a new resurgence in Fiji since the July 2010 release of the Fiji's government's Surfing Areas Decree which gave surfers unrestricted access to any surfing area in Fiji.
