Delicious New Surprises at Tastes of Gold Coast

Indulge in the most wondrous sensory experience as the Gold Coast presents the 6th annual Tastes of Gold Coast festival – a paradise of seafood, cheeses, beers, wines and locally grown produce from August 21 to September 6, 2009.

For the first time ever at Tastes of Gold Coast you can explore the exotic taste sensations from around the world with over 30 multi-cultural food events boasting the region’s diversity of flavours.

The 2009 program truly offers something for everyone as we bring together our wonderful producers, chefs, winemakers and restaurateurs in a program of culinary events celebrating the region,” said Festival Organiser Wendy Lacey.

The city’s chefs are working in collaboration with the region’s leading producers to create 31 culinary events featuring produce driven menus at lavish banquets, and luncheons, progressive hinterland tastings, Celebrity Chef dinner and cooking class with renowned interstate Chef Michael Moore, soulful jazz and entertainment and much, much more.

Locally produced wines and beers will be the star attractions at the majority of this year’s events.

“Where else could you enjoy unique and often quirky locations, with local provedores serving regionally produced food and wine, washed down with a glass of hinterland wines or local beers?” continued Festival Organiser Wendy Lacey.

Tastes of Gold Coast is a highlight in the Gold Coast’s event calendar and the perfect excuse to indulge in 17 days of fun, food and wine.

“So gather your friends and join locals to take part in this two week festival dedicated to seasonal produce with more than enough events to enliven your palate,” she said.
