Tigerair Australia Commercial Director Adam Rowe says the low cost model is all about providing customers with value and choice.
“We offer the fare for the best price possible and then allow our passengers to choose what, if any, optional extras they wish to pay for. In this week’s sale we’re halving our baggage fees across the entire network and for all travel periods - something which is a first for the airline - which we believe will appeal to many Australians who want to pack more into their next holiday.
“Half price baggage combined with Tigerair’s consistently great value fares make this exceptional value. Whether you are planning an extended winter break, can’t decide on how many shoes to take or you simply want to travel light in order to stock up on mid-year sales at the other end, then there is no better time to get packing.”
Tigerair passengers are provided with up to 10kg of carry-on luggage free of charge and anything over this weight must be checked in to the hold for a fee, which is applied in increments of 5kg from 15kg up to a maximum of 40kg per passenger. Thanks to the ‘Get Packing’ 50% baggage sale, a passenger booking 15kg of checked baggage between Hobart and Melbourne will now only pay $7.50 each way for their bag, instead of $15 for example.
Coinciding with Tigerair’s half price baggage sale is a ‘Coast to Coast’ sale on now until midnight Friday 13 June with fares either way between Perth and Melbourne from $109.95* and between Perth and Sydney from $119.94* for travel periods extending between 05 August and 18 September and between 15 October and 11 December 2014.
So ‘Get Packing’ with Tigerair’s half price baggage sale on now until 10am Saturday 14 June 2014 for all new baggage purchases (excluding airport baggage charge and sporting equipment).
