With a menu carefully created by head chef Masa san and paired with the aesthetically beautiful interior, guests will be transported into a tranquil Japanese haven, to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

In preparation for the rich and decadent flavours to come, an appetizer platter will provide petite combinations of Duck Teriyaki with asparagus, Soft Shell Crab with Shiso Salsa, Kani Cream Croquette and Oyster with citrus soy sauce.

After such a delicious start to the menu, an entrée course highlights fresh seafood flavours seen in the Tuna and Salmon Sashimi and Snapper Carpaccio with shallots, sesame seeds, garlic vinaigrette.

Moving onto the main course, guests will indulge in a richer flavour palette with a choice of Sono’s signature dish, Wagyu Steak Striploin MB7 with garlic soy jus or Pan-fried Barramundi with a garlic and lemon soy sauce. Bothserved with a portion of steamed rice and miso soup, this course is perfectly balanced against the lighter textures of the two prior courses.

The final course of dessert ends on a scintillating sweet note with a serving of creamy tiramisu - layers of sponge cake soaked in coffee and liqueur with powdered chocolate and mascarpone cheese.

With immaculate presentation and impeccable seasoning, guests will relish in an array of fine flavours, shaping a delightful Japanese experience. At only $58 per person, this menu is exclusive to Sono Portside. For an extra $17 per person guests may also choose to include matched wines, carefully selected to complement the flavours of each dish.

Take the time out of your busy day and indulge in this relaxing lunchtime offer at Brisbane’s leading Japanese restaurant.
