Australia's newest international airline, V Australia, took to the skies in February 2009 with its inaugural services between Sydney and Los Angeles.
In April, V Australia's second route between Brisbane and Los Angeles will also take off and in September 2009 services will commence between Melbourne and Los Angeles^.
V Australia offers a high quality, innovative travel option introducing new competition to the trans-Pacific route. V Australia is the only carrier to operate the economically and environmentally efficient Boeing 777 aircraft on the route. The three class boutique style airline offers 33 Business Class lie-flat beds, 40 Premium Economy club seats and 288 economy seats.
All seats on the brand new 360-seat 777-300ER aircraft offer personal state-of-the-art seat back entertainment with user friendly touch screen options and seat to seat 'chat' or competition connectivity. "Didgeree Blue" flew into Avalon yesterday and will be positioned on static display for the duration of the show. However, people attending the show will able to take a walk inside the superb new aircraft and have a look at the future of long-haul aviation at selected times on Friday, 13 March, and Saturday, 14 March.
On Friday, 13 March, the brand new B777-300ER will be open for internal inspection between 11.00am and 2.00pm and again from 4.00pm and 7.00pm. On Saturday, 14 March, "Didgeree Blue" will be open for internal inspection from 10.00am until 1.00pm and then again from 2.00pm until 5.00pm.
Coinciding with "Didgeree Blue's" appearance at Avalon 2009, V Australia is currently offering return sale fares from Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne to Los Angeles starting from just $971*. These fares are on sale until 20 March, 2009, and are valid for travel until 15 June 2009.
