Broome Turns Pink for Breast Cancer at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa

With breast cancer affecting one in eight Australian women by the age of 85 years, it's an unfortunate reality that we are likely to know someone who will be touched by the disease in some way during their life. For the fourth consecutive year Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is proud to support National Breast Cancer Foundation and during October is participating in Fundraising Activities, Global Illumination and holding its annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast.

"Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is committed to providing vital fund raising assistance and resources in support of the National Breast Cancer Foundation as a Corporate Supporter" Ron Sedon, General Manager for Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa commented .

Our Resort ablaze in pink....
For the entire month of October Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa is set ablaze in Pink in support of Global Illumination, a unique initiative designed to put the spotlight on breast cancer.

"We join world famous monuments, landmarks and buildings and illuminate in pink as a symbol of hope to empower and enlighten millions of women everywhere" said Mr Sedon.

Breakfast for Breast Cancer Research
On Friday 15th October 84 Broome guests attended the Pink Breakfast for Breast Cancer Research at Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation. The breakfast raised over $4,000 which was donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation to support breast cancer research and survivorship initiatives.

"The support the Broome community and our guests have shown us throughout Pink Ribbon Month in 2010 has been outstanding. We are extremely proud of our partnership with National Breast Cancer Foundation and hope our efforts assist in raising both awareness and funding towards the prevention and cure of breast cancer" said Mr Sedon.
