Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises, operator of America's Favorite Boat Ride, has unveiled "The Beast" - its most powerful thrill-ride yet - to officially kick off the summer 2011 season.
The Beast is New York's only jet powered thrill-ride speedboat attraction.
Not just a monster on the surface, The new Beast rockets through the water, driven by a pair of water jet engines, making her the fastest and most capable thrill boat ride in New York Harbor.
Painted green scales clad its 65 foot hull and a new, more ferocious set of teeth glisten at the bow. The ride holds 138 people and lasts for a fun-filled 30 minutes.
Thrill-seekers board at the Circle Line Pier at 42nd Street and the Hudson River and accelerate down the river, passing the great skyline of New York towards the final destination, The Statue of Liberty, while heart pounding music blares over the boat's sound system.
"We brought the original speed boat thrill ride to New York 13 years ago and we are proud to be launching this state-of–the art edition Beast this summer. The 2011 Beast continues Circle Line's commitment to operating the newest dedicated sight-seeing fleet in New York" said Andreas Sappok, General Manager of Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises.
