Big savings on Australian rail journeys

DISCOUNTS of 20 per cent on Gold Service journeys between Adelaide and Darwin on The Ghan and between Sydney and Perth on the Indian Pacific are now available from International Rail. 

 

The offer means savings of up to $458 per person on The Ghan and $484 on the Indian Pacific if you book before July 31 and August 31 respectively.

 

By travelling Gold Service passengers will also enjoy all inclusive meals and on-board beverages and Off-Train excursions on selected journeys at no additional cost.

 

Savings are also available on The Ghan for journeys between Adelaide and Alice Springs and Alice Springs and Darwin and Indian Pacific journeys between Sydney and Adelaide and Adelaide and Perth.

 

The discounted fares and pensioner concessions are available for travel until October 31, 2013.

 

International Rail is also offering the chance to up-grade to Queenslander Class on Sunlander journeys between Brisbane and Cairns for $150. The train has its own fine dining restaurant and lounge car for the exclusive use of Queenslander Class guests, as well as special touches such as robes and slippers, and a bed turndown service.

 

The Sunlander upgrade offer is valid for sale until August 31 and for travel between August 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.
