Keep the kids busy in Penrith these school holidays.

School holidays are just around the corner and if you haven't planned anything for the kids yet don't worry, there are plenty of fun and affordable things for them to see and do in Penrith.

Whether your child has an adventurous spirit, an enquiring mind or an active imagination they will be entertained for hours at the world-class attractions, special events and activities across the City.

Rafting fun for kids at Penrith Whitewater stadium

Adrenaline junkies can try wakeboarding, jet packing, white-water rafting, indoor skydiving and go-karting; thrill seekers of a different kind can try Theatresports at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre or Astronomy Night at UWS Observatory and others can try their hand at the Young Writers' Camp at Lewers Gallery or Cartoon Workshops at Penrith Library.

Penrith City Mayor Cr Ross Fowler says there really is something for kids of all ages and interests to enjoy in Penrith these school holidays.

“School holidays go by in a blink of an eye for kids, but for many parents they seem to last a bit longer! It's wonderful to see so many different activities and interesting events happening across the City to keep the kids occupied,” Cr Fowler says.

“Our world-class adventure attractions continue to be a popular choice for school kids of all ages. Not only do they provide great value for money, they encourage kids to be active, enjoy the outdoors and try something new.”
