Sal Salis offers dream opportunity to swim with the whale sharks in an underwater utopia

Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef offers special Whale Shark Packages

21 March, 2013 – Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef, Wild Bush Luxury's exclusive safari camp hidden in the white sand dunes of Western Australia's Cape Range National Park, is offering guests special Whale Shark Packages during the area's annual whale shark season between 1st April – 31st July, 2013. The Ningaloo Reef is one of the few places in the world where people can swim with these gentle giants, and from AU$2,570 per adult, for a three night stay, or from AU$3,295 per adult for a four night stay, twin share, a privileged few can experience a combination of exceptional hospitality in Sal Salis' luxury tented camp and unforgettable encounters swimming with world's largest filter feeding shark.

Wild Bush Luxury, owner-operator of some of Australia's most inspirational bush experiences, has partnered with Ocean Eco Adventures, to take guests on a day excursion where they have the opportunity to snorkel alongside the majestic whale sharks in waters harbouring an astonishing array of marine life. Whale sharks can grow up to an impressive sixteen metres long and migrate through the UNESCO World Heritage listed Ningaloo Reef waters annually, which are also home to the world's greatest fringing coral reef. Ningaloo is world-renowned as one of the best snorkelling spots on the globe; and widely reputed to provide incomparable experiences swimming with the incredible whale sharks.

Guests will be surrounded by a colourful kaleidoscope of fish and corals as they discover Western Australia's astounding underwater world, which hosts over 500 species of fish, 250 coral species and 600 species of mollusc, and is also a major breeding area for Hawksbill, Green and Loggerhead Turtles, which are seen regularly from the barefoot luxury camp.

Sal Salis Ningaloo Reef is an idyllic base for experiencing the area's awe-inspiring natural surrounds. The camp's nine spacious, free-standing, raised safari tents have been designed to blend seamlessly with their surrounding environment and are nestled amongst the white coastal dunes of the Cape Range National Park, metres from the water's edge and just two kilometres from the limestone range of the Cape Range National Park. In keeping with Wild Bush Luxury's sustainable tourism ethos, the Sal Salis tents have been built with minimal impact on the environment, and designed to expose guests to the striking sights and sounds of the wilderness around.

Each tent offers the key creature comforts necessary for a supremely satisfying stay: comfortable beds, an en suite bathroom, a solar hot water shower and spectacular views of either the Indian Ocean or the area's sweeping white sand dunes. Guests can also admire views of the reef and tides from the open bar, or relax with a book in the property's outdoor open lounge area. Visitors are treated to delicious chef-prepared meals, and dinner is hosted against a back-drop of rich orange sunsets over the expansive Indian Ocean; the perfect way to wind down after a day exploring the area and discovering the fascinating whale sharks.
