Captain Cook Cruises Vivid Sydney Cruises

The city comes alive in a spectacular array of lights for Vivid Sydney from 24 May - 10 June 2013.  Captain Cook Cruises is offering a variety of ferry and dining cruises so passengers can see the lights and projections on Sydney's most famous landmarks.

According to Captain Cook Cruises Head of Sales and Marketing, Richard Doyle "the best place to see the full canvas of lights and projections including Fort Denison, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and landmark buildings along the foreshore from Sydney Cove to Walsh Bay is from the water".

Cruises have been specially designed to complement the Vivid Light Walk with over 60 interactive light installations from Sydney Cove, through The Rocks to Walsh Bay. VIVID Light also features huge 3D digital mapping projections and lighting displays across city scrapes and landmark buildings including the Museum of Contemporary Art, Customs House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House.

Diners on the 5.00pm Vivid Twilight Dinner Cruise will enjoy the spectacular moment as the lights turn on at 6.00pm every night, plus an open bar of Tyrrell's house sparkling or still wines, beer and soft drinks and a choices of delicious main courses. Disembark at Circular Quay at 6.30pm at the doorstep of Customs House – one of the first and most spectacular lighting displays of the VIVID Light Walk. The Vivid Twilight dinner cruise is priced at only $49.00 per person and departs nightly.

The 7.00pm Vivid Dinner + Drinks is ideal for those who prefer a pre-dinner cocktail and stroll along the Light Walk before boarding the cruise to experience the full canvas of Vivid lights in style. Departing from Circular Quay at the start of the Vivid Light Walk, the Vivid Dinner & Drinks cruise includes a 2 course Contemporary Australian menu and an open bar of Tyrrell's house sparkling or still wines, beer and soft drinks for only $69 per person.

Vivid Fort Denison Express is priced to suit every budget. At just $21 for adults, guests can enjoy the unique opportunity of visiting Fort Denison at night – the 2013 Eastern beacon for Vivid Light. The trip includes return ferry from Circular Quay along the Sydney Cover Vivid Light foreshore to Fort Denison. Viewing of the 8 metre Vivid light installation and escort to the top of the Martello tower to view the Sydney Harbour lights from the centre of the Harbour.

The Vivid Fort Denison Express departs No.6 Jetty Circular Quay from 6.00pm every 20mins on May 24, 25 and 31 and June 1, 7, 8 and 9, 2013 only and seats are limited.
