New Services for Captain Cook Cruises and Manly Fast Ferry Passengers
Manly Fast Ferry and Captain Cook Cruises are proud to announce a code share agreement connecting services between Manly, Darling Harbour and Circular Quay.
The new agreement will provide a number of benefits for commuters including an hourly high speed air-conditioned service to and from Manly seven days a week; connecting services and single ticketing between Manly and Darling Harbour.
Manly Fast Ferry has been providing high speed services between Manly and Circular Quay since February 2009. With over 17000 trips completed and nearly 1 million passengers travelled, the reliability of the service is proven with a 99.99% service level.
Manly Fast Ferry has been applying to extend the service between Manly and Darling Harbour over the past 18 months. The signing of the agreement with Captain Cook Cruises, operator of the Circular Quay to Darling Harbour ferry route, means a Manly - Darling Harbour service is now possible.
As highlighted in the walker report, Darling Harbour is becoming a desired destination for city commuters. Taking the pressure from Circular Quay and cutting travelling time will see more Northern beaches residents get out of their cars and onto the ferries. Ferry is a much better way to commute, taking the stress from the Spit Bridge and having a relaxing fast ferry ride home will see these services grow into the future.
This agreement will see both services terminate at Jetty 6 Circular Quay so the connections are as efficient as possible and undercover transfers between vessels possible.
Tourists will also benefit with more services running to Manly and Darling Harbour in air-conditioned comfort, commentary and a bar onboard.
Services will run every 45 minutes from Darling Harbour and every hour to Manly from Jetty 6, Circular Quay.
