Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel, Hanoi's Newest and Largest Hotel, Joins Summit Hotels & Resorts
HONG KONG – November 2010 – Summit Hotels & Resorts, a brand of Preferred Hotel Group that includes more than 150 internationally acclaimed hotels and resorts that celebrate local luxury worldwide, is pleased to announce its first member in Vietnam – Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel in Hanoi.
Located in the western section of Hanoi City in the upcoming business area of Cau Giay District, the new Grand Plaza Hanoi Hotel is the closest hotel to the National Convention Center. Furthermore, the 618-room European-style hotel debuts as the largest hotel in Vietnam and is part of the new Charmvit Grand Plaza complex, which encompasses high-end retail and an office tower.
The hotel's convention facilities are the city's largest and most sophisticated. Its Millennium Ballroom seats up to 1,200 guests with computerized lighting, sound equipment, simultaneous translation booths, and a movable stage. The hotel recently hosted President Benigno Aquino III of the Philippines and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia during the 17th ASEAN Summit in October 2010.
