Stamford Plaza Brisbane to Receive $10 Million Makeover
Stamford Plaza Brisbane is undergoing a AUD$10 million facelift to offer discerning guests a new level of supreme comfort and refined luxury with new-look suites and rooms, including the prestigious Stamford Suite - a haven for celebrities and dignitaries, as well as innovative dining experiences.
Majestically nestled on the banks of the Brisbane River, with panoramic river views from every one of its 252 guest rooms, the new design will enhance the existing European-style décor whilst retaining a warm, yet elegant and luxurious ambiance.
True connoisseurs of luxury will be delighted by the inclusion of mini-LCD TVs in the bathrooms, slick 32 inch flat screen LCD TVs in bedrooms complete with I-Pod connection, new softly hued furnishings as well as complimentary wireless internet access. In keeping with the Stamford’s eco-values, new water-efficient toilet systems will be installed saving 1.5 litres of water per flush.
The award-winning Kabuki Japanese Restaurant will be extended to include a fashionable ‘Kabuki to go’ takeaway area. Also, there will be a stylish upgrade to the popular Courtyard and the Pav Bar will feature a decadent bar with onyx back-lit marble.
Due for completion in late Autumn 2009, the refurbishment program is currently well underway and the hotel remains fully operational.
“Our unique riverfront location has always made us a firm favourite of business and leisure travellers alike,” says Kym Carter, General Manager of the Stamford Plaza Brisbane, “however with this facelift, we can now offer a new era of contemporary elegance and unforgettable luxury.”
Room rates for the new-look Stamford Plaza Brisbane, from late Autumn onwards, is from $245 per room per night (excluding GST).
