2007/2008 a Banner Year for Colorado Ski Country

SNOW ACCUMULATIONS MEAN BANNER YEAR FOR COLORADO SKI COUNTRY USA

Eight Colorado Ski Resorts Break Season Snowfall Records

DENVER, Colo. – April 25, 2008 – Mother Nature has been kind to
Colorado this winter season, as eight of Colorado Ski Country USA's 26
member resorts received record snowfall accumulations and many more
recorded above average snowfall.

2007- 08 Season Snowfall Record Breakers:

Silverton - 550 inches (and counting) = 14 metres
Steamboat - 489 inches = 12.5 metres
Monarch Mountain - 482 inches = 12 metres
Aspen/Snowmass - 450 inches = 11.5 metres
Beaver Creek - 430 inches = 11 metres
Crested Butte - 422 inches = 10.5 metres
Telluride - 353 inches = 9 metres
Powderhorn - 320 inches = 8 metres

Although snow was slow to come in the beginning of the 2007-08 ski
season, Colorado's 26 member resorts saw a near perfect December as
fresh snow fell 30 of 31 days in ski country. By the end of January,
ceaseless snow storms left measurable amounts of snow 59 out of 62
days across the State, marking two of the best snow months on record
at many resorts.

Some stats: 2007-08 marked the first time Steamboat surpassed the
100-inch (2.5 metres) cumulative mark three months in one season
(Dec.-Feb.), while December and January were record snowfall months at
both Aspen/Snowmass and Vail, which saw its third snowiest winter on
record.

Telluride received record snowfall December through February;
Keystone equalled its best snowfall in the previous eight years;
January and February snowfall totals were among the highest in
Loveland's history; and Copper Mountain's snowfall made it to the
top ten in resort history.

As of today, Colorado's 26 member resorts have received 141 days of
measurable snowfall and tallied 105 powder days.
