HERTZ AUSTRALIA INTRODUCES THE SPORTY HOLDEN ASTRA CONVERTIBLE

Hertz Australia has introduced the sporty Holden Astra convertible, providing an exciting new option for leisure renters, or making that next business trip just a little more interesting.

The new Astra is a two-door, four-seat model, with an electrically-operated, fold-away hard top.

It also features leather-faced seats – including heated front seats – plus a six-stack CD player, automatic transmission and cruise control.

And for those unable to resist the temptation of a long drive in a convertible, the fuel-thrifty Astra has a 52-litre petrol tank, and the reassurance of electronic stability control and driver, front passenger and front side airbags.

"Renting a car is not just about transportation – it can also be part of the travel adventure," said Wayne Burgoyne, Director of Sales and Marketing for Hertz Australia.

"Our new Holden Astra can be both a stylish coupe and a snappy convertible, for two or four passengers," he said. "It is a car for all seasons."

The Holden Astra Convertible is being introduced progressively at Hertz locations in key mainland destinations, including Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Cairns, Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne.

In addition, Hertz has also introduced NeverLost portable satellite navigation units, making it easy for any driver to navigate through unfamiliar locations.

The new NeverLost units, available for rent at selected Hertz locations, cost just AUD$15 per day. They can be used in any Hertz vehicle.

Hertz has more than 8000 locations in over 150 destinations worldwide, including more than 220 locations in Australia.
