Between October - December 2013 Hong Kong’s winter celebrations will offer visitors an array of festive experiences to delight the senses in true East-meets-West style.
Hong Kong Winter will kick off with Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month(October 31 – November 30)- a month long annual celebration of food and wine themed events and activities that have helped establish Hong Kong as Asia’s culinary capital. The jewel in the crown of Hong Kong Wine & Dine Month will be the four day Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival (October 31 – November 3) held at a stunning new site on Hong Kong Island’s harbour front. The festival will include hundreds of booths featuring top international wines and delicious local cuisine. Over the month of November visitors will also enjoy special wine and dine offers in the city’s restaurants, wine and dine themed tours, street carnivals and wine classes.
Hong Kong will then embrace the spirit of Christmas with Hong Kong WinterFest (December – January 1) that will see lavish streetlights and decorations on display, a Tiffany & Co. themed Christmas tree, Christmas villages and best of all, winter sales throughout the city’s shopping malls and department stores.
During winter visitors can also experience the city’s Halloween celebrations throughout October as well as the Hong Kong International Races that take place in December. The cooler months are also ideal for exploring Hong Kong’s green side with guided hikes and walks offered during Great Outdoors Hong Kong.
To conclude Hong Kong’s winter celebrations in true style, Hong Kong will then welcome in the New Year with a spectacular pyrotechnics display over Victoria Harbour on December 31.
