Motorcycle expedition company, Extreme Bike Tours, is offering a last minute discount of US$600 on two adrenalin rides across the roof of the world in Tibet to the foot of Mt Everest in the Himalayas this September.
Under the special offer, adventure-seeking Australians – Extreme Bike Tours’ most common customers – can join one of two, all-inclusive 14-day Tibet motorbike expeditions departing Kathmandu in Nepal on September 9 and September 22, 2013, from US$4270 per rider, which is US$600 off the normal price.
The guided tours, which include all meals and accommodation, will take thrillseekers on India’s classic Royal Enfield 500cc Bullet motorbikes to the Dalai Lama’s traditional Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet, through remote mountain village and across the Tibetan plateau along some of the world’s highest roads, ending at the Everest Base Camp – the closest you can get to the world’s highest mountain on two wheels. Along the way, riders stay in a mix of hotels, guesthouses and tents.
One of the world’s leading motorcycle tour companies, Extreme Bike Tours was featured on the ‘Top Gear’ TV show in 2011.
